I’m Lakisha Ball — teacher, literacy advocate, consultant, and someone who believes learning should feel less complicated and more meaningful. I've spent over two decades educating students, supporting schools, and helping Reading Language Arts teachers and leaders take the guesswork out of literacy instruction.

With a doctorate in education, multiple teaching certifications, and experience spanning the classroom, higher education, campus administration, regional consulting, and statewide education support, I specialize in transforming complex literacy challenges into practical, research-based solutions that strengthen instruction and accelerate student learning.

Professional titles aside, here’s the real scoop:
I love reading (naturally), traveling, discovering new recipes, and tackling DIY projects around the house. I'm proud to spend my days raising two incredible kids with my husband and squeezing in workouts, mostly because my future self will appreciate it. 

I'm a believer in the power of service. I want my life, work, and interactions to reflect God's love in a way that makes others want a relationship with Him. Whether I'm coaching educators, modeling a lesson in a classroom, leading workshops, or simply offering a listening ear, my goal is to serve with humility, purpose, and excellence.
